Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2020

(Not a deal, but I think it's an interesting watch at a reasonable price) The Победа will be the most widely made mechanical watch, was on the wrist of the Soviet citizens for many decades, and it was so popular that I have read that more than 75 million Pobedas were made in Soviet Era. The first pr...

Re: Hamilton reissues the Pulsar, and a little history.

A curiosity. The time was adjusted by placing a tiny magnet hidden in the clasp of the bracelet close to the slots in the back. Couldn't have been more futuristic... https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crazywatches.pl%2Fimages%2Fupload%2Fled%2Fpulsarp2led2.jpg&f=1&nofb=1 I...

Re: WRUW

That blue Hirsch Grand Duke is another savvy combo! Has anyone actually worn theirs on the Codek Cordovan strap? What do you guys think those would go for to sell? I have no intention of selling either watch or strap, I like them both. I'm leaving Cordovan's strap in reserve. I have two or three wa...

Re: WRUW

I do, though I’m still a little sad I got blue over white and I didn’t get the burgundy cordovan strap. However, this watch may actually be the watch my wife loves the most. She usually pokes fun at my watch hobby (addiction, problem, obsession), but she thinks this watch is so unique and different...

Hamilton reissues the Pulsar, and a little history.

In 1970, shortly after Seiko revolutionized watchmaking with the first quartz, the then-American Hamilton filed a patent for a fully electronic watch with no moving parts. Instead, the time would be read on a digital LED display. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse1.mm.bi...

Re: COVID-19 Impacts- No Conspiracy Theories

The government has decreed a state of alert, in which it has forbidden citizens to leave their homes to prevent the spread of the virus, with small exceptions. Going to work, the few who have a job, going to the nearest pharmacy or buying food at the nearest supermarket, fueling the car, buying toba...

Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2020

The Russian currency has hardly fallen due to the coronavirus crisis. You can buy Vostok watches in rubles in stores like Meranom or Komandirskie.com at really good prices at the exchange rate (at least in EUR). Example, Vostok Special Edition @ Meranom. https://meranom.com/en/amphibian-se/?sort=p.p...
