Re: Gobble, gobble, gobble! Win a Werenbach for Thanksgiving!
While Canadian Thanksgiving has already come and gone, I'm still thankful for many things this year. Most notably, I'm especially appreciative of all the essential workers that have contributed to help maintain some amount of sanity throughout the year's lockdowns. I know there are multiple members ...

Re: WRUW
If you haven't joined the discord to casually chat with other members about new watches and hear me complain about Seiko QC, you should do so already.
On the fence of keeping/flipping this new Fortis.

Re: Review: Werenbach Leonov Model 5 Automatic Watch
For some reason, I really don't mind the text on the dial, unlike watches such as the Tudor Pelagos. Overall a good looker, the only criticism I have is that the case looks a little undermachined and a few edges being beveled off would produce a significant difference. I hope their future watches ar...

SOLD: Zelos Swordfish 40 (Frost)
Up for sale/trade is a lightly worn Zelos Swordfish 40mm, in the full-lume variant. It has been worn a few times at most on my own strap. No wear I noticed but a conservative 95% just in case; original bracelet is unused and still wrapped in factory plastic. Timekeeping is at a consistent +1 to -1 s...

Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
I think the chapter ring is okay, but the index at 6 is way off.. I don't have a Seiko in my hands to evaluate whether it's the marker pressing or the chapter ring imprinting that's off... But if you look at the rest of the markers, you'll see that the whole chapter ring is rotated clockwise, while...

I'm just hopeful for a tough solar variant... It's inevitable based on the success.

Recent acquisition from a trade. Flat lugs remedied by my love of single-pass nylon straps.

Re: Japanese spring bar tool
Do you figure the tip is hardened? Looks like a much more robust version of the wide-flanged tips on the longer springbar tools... which I never used due to their short prongs. This seems much more intuitive.

Re: Watch Gang - My (short) experience
I discussed this shortly on the discord chat, but it's stated in watchgang.com's blog. Majority of the brands are produced and distributed by a company called ResultCo. No matter how you sugarcoat it, you cannot deny the underlying message: make no name product at low cost with decent QC, then try t...
