MoT Logo Keychain
Sporkboy’s creative streak continues. I took the current MoT logo and turned it into a keychain because that is the best use of a 3D printer.
Anyway, I will be including one of these whenever I send something to a forum member.

[emoji23] I am loving the keychain though. Never been a keychain guy. Until now that is!watchpalooza wrote:Lol...”because that is the best use of a 3D printer.”

Re: MoT Logo Keychain
I guess I should have said that the best use of a 3D printer is production of low quantities of specialized items for a niche audience. These are also known as keychains.watchpalooza wrote:Lol...”because that is the best use of a 3D printer.”
I have made a lot of keychains, but I also make lots of useful stuff as well.

Re: MoT Logo Keychain
In looking at these now, I am thinking that a contrasting seconds hand in red might be nice. Thoughts?

Re: MoT Logo Keychain
Don’t think that a project like that isn’t on the back burner. I have been able to print .4mm thin dials and put them into a watch. The finishing leaves much to be desired prior to fine tuning, but it is doable I think. Slowing the speed way down usually helps.tjcdas wrote:3d printed watch dials with indents for lume?
3D printed chapter rings are also a possibility, but so have tried modeling one of those for over a year or so.

Settings were maybe a bit fast, so the quality will be a resolvable problem. How does that red seconds hand look to you guys?

This batch is done. Some are on their way to Matt and some are for the Sdelka box.
Here they are drying after soaking off the bed adhesive (hair spray).

MoT Logo Keychain
It has been a while since there was a keychain post, so I made something special. If you want one, send me DM. Starting yesterday, these are going out with packages and thank you notes that I send tonMoT forum members.
I got in some glowing filament, so the keychains can now be fully luminous! Have you ever been looking for your keys and just could t find them? Maybe this could help. Can you find the keys in this picture? Click the spoiler below for a much easier challenge.
