Arai is a top of the line MC helmet. They sell new for around $550 to around $800 depending on the model. Could be a tough sell if it isn't new in the box or if it is older than 5 years.
They sell for around $200 used.

I didn't know it was a Nicky Hayden edition. There could be collector interest beyond someone just looking for a cheap race helmet.

I didn't either until I looked it up. A big part of flipping is learning how to look up items to identify exactly what they are and what they are worth.

This is a store demonstrator display showing the difference between new and worn out shocks. Variants of this have been used throughout the years and this appears to be a fairly recent version though I don’t have dates. June 23rd has one sell for $95 and someone else has tried to sell one at that price only to have it currently listed again. $80 seems to be reasonable here as you have priced it. Inventory doesn’t help you if you are holding onto it forever for the right person, best to make the profit and move along.
Sold for $69. Nice!

I just hit $15,000 in Amazon sales for the past 30 days, and I have 12 boxes on the way to the warehouses.

It takes some time to build your account, but I've only been making an effort on Amazon since October. Start now and you can get in on the Q4 action.

Flip of the Day

Paid 99 cents at Goodwill. I actually filled a cart with plush toys for $30. Most were Build A Bear. Build A Bear licensed characters usually sell well.

Very interesting and valuable thread. I remember when you started it, but forgot to follow along. Just finished reading the whole thing. Some really good tips in here. I might have to give it a try on a small scale to see if it's something I like and can do. Thanks for the information!

I haven't checked in on this thread in a while but I'm truly inspired by it. Sadly I haven't done anything with the inspiration :(
I really need to focus on using my spare time to hit up Goodwill, Kohl's, TJ Max, etc.

I’m pretty sure eBay sends a 1099 if you do over 10k or something like that.

@BillionaireDoors, you and my father could be peas in a pod. He’s been doing all of this for years and it pays his bills in retirement on top of being a fun hobby...the 50% off Goodwill days, yardsales, estate sales. Y’all are twins.

I’ve gotten into myself some and it’s a lot of fun seeing what you can turn a few dollars into.

For people looking to do brand name clothes and stuff, my wife also uses Poshmark which I know some of us are familiar for buying watches as well.

PayPal sends the 1099. They you have to subtract eBay fees, shipping, packing materials, and purchase cost.

Poshmark is a grind, but I do make some money there.

Amazon is on fire this month. Just crossed $18k in sales for 30 days.

OK it's not much, but if you're thinking about selling something anyway, maybe now is a good time to do it.

Better than nothing.

I'm waiting on payment for a set of 5 small coffee cups. Purchased for 69 cents each. Sold for $70.

That's crazy. And I can't believe what people pay for coffee mugs that you can find at a yard sale for 50 cents. It doesn't make sense to me.

Plush toys are even better on average. You can turn $1-2 into $20-30 all day!

This one even sold though eBay Global Shipping.
