Why Tissot has been repped to the extent that it has is a mystery to me.

Don't know how long this red banner has been up. This may be more widespread than I thought, and it may explain the disappearance of a long time Ebay seller. I still don't know why it would have an ETA 2836 movement.

Apparently, Tissot is a very popular brand in China, so it's one of the rare fakes that is actually produced for the Chinese domestic market. But, unlike most fakes, they're sold as the real deal, and only at a slight discount over the retail price of the authentic article.

Wonder which 2836 movement is in this watch, not going to be ETA. Sea Gull? Cheaper one's available?
