Recently there was a deal posted for Watchain.com. A number of research attempts from other members turned up some info but information was sparse.
They had a Seiko SBDX017, MM300 listed for $1999. Good price, pulled the trigger, paid with Paypal and received an automated confirmation email.
Three days later I get an email saying "Your order was cancelled at your request. Your payment has been voided."
Today I see that the item was re-listed on their site. So, for kicks, re-ordered.
This time the response only took 7 minutes. ""Your order was cancelled at your request. Your payment has been voided."
Also, over the four days, I had sequential order numbers, so clearly they aren't making sales.
Definitely fishy, hopefully this helps the next curious person.
As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.
