Any ideas on where to source this style of elastic strap?

Post by TheJohnP »

I bought a couple of elastic straps from Froskemann, who recently closed up his shop.
Here's a review of the straps from watchpalooza

Their buckle system is amazing and overall it has been a pleasant intro into elastic straps.

However, now that they're out of business, I would like to keep using their buckles with different color straps and imagine somewhere on Aliexpress (or the like) these types of straps could be found. However, my ability to search those sites are limited, so wondering if anyone else might have any insights or suggestions?

Basically, these are fairly straightforward straps.
Just a single strap of elastic with hardware at one end.
No keepers, no buckles, no clips, nothing.

I did a quick search on Ali Express but couldn't find anything.

If you (or someone you know) is comfortable with basic sewing, could you get a few single pass elastic from Cheapest Nato and just remove the keepers?

Well, you could source the elastic and then the metal keeper. It takes 5-6 stitches, and isn’t hard to do by hand. I am guessing that this isn’t the right elastic but...

Here are 22 and 24mm keepers. I am sure others sizes are out there.

Hi, I am happy to announce that Froskemann is back in busuiness! Like yourself, we are great fans of the straps, and we decided to buy the concept and continue production here in our Oslo based workshop Urmaker Erik Sutterud & Cie. You can order again from froskemann.com.

Welcome back!
