Cross-posting this from here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1983#p71172

Just received two of these single-pass adjustable straps from AliExpress (gray and green). I was curious to see whether they were still wearable when adjusted for my 6.25” wrist and I’m happy to say they are.

I think I finally found a strap I like on this Timex MK1, despite the different finishing between the case and strap hardware.

The quality seems pretty good considering the price (I paid $18.88 delivered for two straps). Hopefully they are durable. We’ll see. So far I’m very happy with the purchase.

Now some pics!

If anyone has experience with crafterblue strap, I could use some advice.

On this side of the strap, the bars do find the lug holes, however, doesn't fully "click" into a secure position.

A light tug and it'll pop right out.

Along with stratching the hell out of my lugs, I have tested two sets of spring bars with and without different straps and this problem is only presented on the "short" side of the crafterblue strap.

Any help would be appreciated.

Watch is a SLA021

(I've also emailed crafterblue but I didn't buy directly from them so we'll see what kinda response I'll be getting.)

Received a new batch from CNS today. The highlight so far is this 21mm NATO adapted to fit an Oceanus.

Working on a two-piece NATO too, but it didn't quite go as expected. I wanted to just make two small cuts and tuck in the middle fabric, but the nylon is too stiff. Not bad though.

Very nice! I'm not sure what you did there but that's the best looking aftermarket set-up I've seen on one of these.

It was ridiculously easy. If you have a ruler and an Exacto knife, you're good to go. Here's an illustration showing what I did:

The red dotted line represents the path of the lug pin. The green lines are where I cut. I started with very small cuts at the intersection of the path and extended them toward the case (important for a neat appearance) as needed to accommodate the center lug. Then it's a matter of weaving the pin and the strap to put it on. I used a lighter to melt the nylon and stop fraying at the cuts while the strap was attached so the holes wouldn't weld shut.

Is holding a lighter near your watch inadvisable? Probably! Did I burn myself trying to protect the watch from heat? Absolutely! In hindsight, I would suggest just running the pin through the holes while sealing and keeping the watch away from fire.

This Veblenist navy cordovan strap came in today. Exactly what I was hoping for. I love cordovan straps.

Looks great how did you overcome the collar issue to hold the pin in place?

I have the same watch the blue strap looks amazing!

Surprisingly, the pin stays in place and I think the strap is providing enough friction. When worn, the part of the strap that goes over the pin should be pulling down, away from the watch head with a little force. Pair that with the pin being reasonably tight in the lugs anyway (that is, it doesn't just slide out with gravity if there's no strap) and it stays put. If I notice a pin getting a little too close to the outside of the lug, I give it a little nudge back in place.

It's worth noting that I mostly sit at a desk all day. Unless there's a particularly animated conference call, walking the dog and cooking dinner are the most vigorous activities this watch sees.

My SNE541 with new $10 Ali Express bracelet. A bit noisy as it doesn't have amazing tolerances, but to be honest it's not that different from some stock Seiko stuff. Also has a $35~ Ali Express stainless shroud.

Original look of the watch:

For the money, it's nice. I moved it over to a Momentum Flatline a couple of days ago. Here's the link.
