Timex Expedition WS4

Post by MoT »

I have been wanting one of these bad boys since I first learned about them a few years ago. Foolishly I didn't pick one up at the time, and now they are getting harder and harder to find for reasonable prices.

I want the wristwatch, not the clip watch, and I'm not picky about color. I'd also like it to be new, or in as good condition as possible. No more than $150, which will probably be the hardest part.

Here's what they look like:

$150 is going to be tough. Will you consider pre-owned off eBay?

Yup, it'll be nearly impossible.

Yes, eBay pre-owned would be fine. The ones listed on there right now look pretty beat up.

Timex Expedition WS4

This is the best price I can find. Maybe message them and ask if they’ll take less.

Damn says out of stock. Sorry.

Is this the right model? Amazon UK: £122.49, which comes to $159.

Yes it is and that’s an awesome deal. Good job, man. Hopefully MOT can jump on it.

If not it was a lurker, which is why if you really find a special deal you have to use PMs. That’s the dark side of these threads. Some people don’t have any ethics. It’s sad, but true. They’re just here to make something off of others.

Nope, wasn't me. That would have been perfect. :(

I’m pissed. I’m tired of feeding that kind of people.

Timex Expedition WS4

Post by Sporkboy »

The thought of MOT making this forum for deal hunters, posting this, being helped by some of the community and then being beat to the deal by another part of the community makes me very sad and angry.

Is is possible that some random person just happened to buy this that had no clue about this thread at all? That possibility fills me with less rage.

No. It’s not possible. A lurker bought it off this forum.

@robotazky
OK, then I am hoping that this lurker did it so they could send it to MOT as a well deserved thank you gift. Failing that, I hope they do the right thing and offer it to MOT at cost. I usually think the worst of people, but for some reason this seems odd here.

Of course You could be 100% correct. In that case is there a HUISABH curse that we could invoke?
