Re: MoT Forum Watch: Cincinnati Watch Co or Others
I would love it if it wasn't the same color scheme as the Cincinnatus. Same layout, just a different color scheme to help differentiate the MoT version a bit more. Just about anything else besides the black gold/gilt and faux patina would be great.

I'll buy whatever gets made. Maybe leave some space on the caseback and one could have the option to get their forum name, or whathaveyou, engraved on their own?

That is a good point. Some watch brands leave absolutely no space to do any sort of engraving. I’m looking at you Bertucci.Guyinwatch wrote:I'll buy whatever gets made. They just kind of went crazy with their laser engraver.
It looks like Rick has an actual engraving mill, which is cool. I kind of want one, but don’t know that I would use one that often. I would probably just build something that does XYZ without fancy 6-axis stuff.
I have also been looking at pad printing devices, but I would need a laser engraved to go with it to make plates. I would love to be able to pad print dials, but the gear needed just isn’t in the cards for me. Might be something fun in retirement. Too bad I am nowhere near that.

I really like the field watch idea. I also would prefer a slightly different dial color than standard without the faux patina but do like the cathedral hands and love VWG’s logo that harkens to the circle T.
I would have zero interest in a bronze case.

Just a guess, but we will probably have a more focused and motivated discussion after the pictures of the Cincinnatus v.2 are released, possibly on Monday.tjcdas wrote:MOT,

Re: MoT Forum Watch: Cincinnati Watch Co or Others
Voted previously but haven't commented. Cincinatti Watch Company isn't a company that I was familiar with before this thread, but I am keen on their designs after taking a quick look at their site. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for field watches under 40mm and the Cincinattus looks like it hits all the checkboxes with sapphire, hacking, etc.
Most importantly I'm happy with the price point. I can't speak for others but I don't tend to shell out more than a few hundred dollars on a watch with rare exceptions, and the Cincinattus is at a price point that I think would be inclusive of a large percentage of our user base (at least the normal edition is).
My only feedback past that: If given the option I like the look of the Horween Leather strap.

CincinnatiWatchCo is planning on doing a live reveal of the new Cincinnatus watch heads on IG tomorrow. Hopefully Rick will chime in on when that is supposed to happen.
I think most, if not all, of you will be quite happy.
