As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

SUCCESSFUL: Preorder: Kickstarter: Echo/Neutra Averau
I'm currently at work, so apologies for this not being as comprehensive as TheJohnP's usual posts!
This launches tomorrow on KS; Italian designed and Swiss made according to the blurb. Specs look OK with prices starting at €390.
Quite like the design overall, apart from the slightly too small hour hand. Could even forgive the 'date' printing on the dial, pointing to the....erm...date window, and that for me 40mm would probably work better for this design.
Not too sure about the case finishing, though. Looks like it may have been brushed with an angle grinder. YMMV.
Anyways, here it is:

Re: Preorder: Kickstarter: Echo/Neutra Averau
Hi to all,
i'm Nicola Callegaro, the founder of echo/neutra.
As TheJohnP has written above we reached our goal in 45 minutes and we're very satisfied!
The deep brushing is a deeper brushing than standard which is otherwise smooth to the touch: we adopted this type of finishing to give the watch a more "technical" appeal.
I post here some shots of the final prototype (which has a bigger and bolder hour hand):
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
The AVERAU it's a SWISS MADE automatic watch powered by the STP 1-11 Swiss movement: 3 quality controls will be done before shipping it to the customer.
If anyone wants to ask me something, i'm here
Thanks,
Nicola

Welcome, Nicola. It is great to have you here! Personally I like very much the larger hour hand. If I may ask, how did you find us? We are a growing watch enthusiast community and one of the most successful watch deals sites, but we are always interested to know what draws people here.nicolacallegaro wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 4:04 am Hi to all,

I simply found the site looking for a Watch Forum with a section dedicated to Kickstarter campaigns on Google and then I saw that TheJohnP had already spoken about our project!

To give credit where it is due, ShoreFire77 brought this campaign to the attention of the forum. I just added a link.nicolacallegaro wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:52 amHi Steve,FTE wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:45 am

Re: Preorder: Kickstarter: Echo/Neutra Averau
I posted about this watch in the New and Upcoming Release thread without realizing there was already a thread here.
Looks like a great watch. And I was very tempted buy it at first glance. Except, I prefer watches without date complications. That being said, a date complication doesn't stop me from buying a watch that I like. However, labeling the date with "Date" out to the side pretty much kills it for me. Not to mention, it seems completely unnecessary. Do people not know what the date is? There seems to be no usability reason for adding that label, and I think the aesthetics of the design would be better without it.

Noticed that the Echo/Neutra Averau has moved over to Indiegogo
They have a different colorway option with a white dial now:
[img][/img]
And you can also pick between two STP movement tiers.
STP 1-11 is $481

STP 3-13 is $536
