It is a beaut. But I didn't order one.

I wish they would remove VAT for US buyers.
That's not my only hesitation, but it is one.

Yeah, w/out a doubt it's somewhat overpriced and it is rather lackadaisical not to refuse VAT. Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth.

Nevertheless, the dial is interesting enough to make it worth my time. ;-)

Other than the caseback, I really, really like this. I had no idea it existed. I was aware of the Pan-Africa but didn't realize there have now been a total of four different VC models with the King Seiko-like case. I don't think the price ($440) is too bad but I probably wouldn't consider buying one for myself unless it was closer to $300. The site says there are 74 pieces left out of 150. Do you have one on the way Spirit of the Watch?

Well, it hasn't shipped yet (Sept. 09 seems to be the earliest) but I'll post pics on the WUS thread when it does!!!

Yeah, a few of us have complained of the caseback.... but to no avail. I suppose they saved a few dollars over an engraved Europe, like the Pan Afrika had...

Yes, attachments up to 3mb are fine. You could also use an image hosting service like Flikr, Imgur or similar and post the links here.

Sadly, I found this...…….

I've sent them an email and await a response. Oh well, statistics I suppose.

Alright, I got a response and an apology. He asked that I ship it via a priority trackable service and then he'll repair it?

Hopefully, he just replaces it with a different watch or dial (hopefully no dust found later), as I can't imagine taking off and applying a new indicie to be an easy process.

Anyhow, I'll be doing that tomorrow when I have time and sending him the receipt as well. Otherwise, I'm sticking w/ it for now. Odds being what they are, nothing is ever perfect in life.

Well, I paid $68.79 and it will take 6-10 days. I didn't consider this until afterwards, but I probably would have been willing to live w/ it, if they'd refunded me $100. It's not the side I routinely look at and wasting a month shipping back and forth kind of sucks.

If it ever happens to me again, something to consider.
