I am always amused by the strange pricings on websites. You can get this nice quartz Wenger with a green strap for $31.99 (one left).
OR you can buy the same watch with a black strap for $125.

Let's see what we can learn about Amazon from this page:

[img][/img]

1) Amazon has a gender identification issue. The watch is listed as a man's watch. But the watch is 34mm and, indeed, it is listed under specifications as having "Band length Women's Standard."

2) More weird pricings. The black-faced and blue-faced watches (which are priced in the $40s) are over $50 cheaper on bracelets than on straps.

Some say to choose Registered Airmail (free)/No Box. Others say to choose Royal Mail option/No Box. Apparently Customs/HMRC are very hot on catching out low declared item parcels these days (actually received one recently - the Xiaomi Youpin Automatic W001M/Rado Coupole Classic "homage" - postman handed it over, no charge).
I didn't know that Creationwatches declare lower value for their watches. Are they?
From my experience, with DHL express free shipping, you will pay ALL customs duties.

Aren't duties assessed only for items over $800 (in the U.S)?

I purchased from creation in December, a Seiko Pilot for around $190. No duty/import fees were assessed with that purchase.

Seiko Prospex SBDJ027J1 for $253. Retail $900. Camel3x low $393. A cursory search of Google and ebay has this going for around $400 everywhere that is not discountshop. Seems like a helluva deal.

Ebates + Rakuten Global deal. Just visited the RG page at Ebates and it looks like there are some in-cart discounts available or (and?) super points. Plus the 4% cash back. Seems like these coupon codes of theirs expire when they hit a pre-set amount of total savings, so they might not last until the exp. date.

https://www.ebates.com/globalrakuten.com

I wonder if you could get the in-cart discount and the 10% super points (and the 4% cash back). Hmmm....

Cash Back Exclusions: "Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on the purchase or redemption of gift cards. Cash Back is not available on a purchase shipped to Japan or when freight forwarding services are used. Cash Back is not available on a purchase placed through the Ebates mobile app."

Yes, that is correct
I have never paid duties on anything. I have made at least 3 watch purchases over $800, not to mention other products. I think it is a rule, but not commonly enforced. USA USA!!!

It really depends on what courier the watch is shipped with. If it's through normal post/USPS you most likely won't be charged anything. If it's through DHL I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of being charged (I've had about 4-5 watches sent through DHL that were over $800 in value and haven't been charged once. But I have heard of some others being charged). If the watch is shipped through fedex, you will most likely be charged if the declared value is more than $800 (had one watch shipped via FedEx that was declared around $1800, and had to pay about $30 in customs/duty).

That sounds like a dream. To get stuff into Canada I always expect to pay at least 25% of the item's cost. Sometimes even 50%-60% depending on the shipper.
