As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Top Ten Deal Posters Through September 30, 2019

Post by MoT »

PetWatch was curious as to if I could extract the data showing members and how many deals they've posted to the big thread.

Well, I had nothing better to do this evening, so I did just that, and here is the top ten:

Top Ten Deal Posters Through September 30, 2019

TheJohnP - 1021
The Sultan of SoWhat - 723
yinzburgher - 715
cairoanan - 509
BostonCharlie - 317
Dub Rubb - 223
flypanam - 111
testing123 - 94
BillionaireDoors - 55
PetWatch - 46

Through September there have been 4,570 deals posted based on the criteria I set out.

I'm not sure I'm going to update this every month, so for now, consider this a sneak peak and the final tally a Christmas/New Year's present.

If you are more of a visual person, here is an image of a graph made from the extracted data:

If you would like to get even deeper, here is a link to an interactive version of the above image. This graph shows every member who has contributed to the HU! thread, and how many deals they've posted. Hovering your mouse over every entry will show the total number of deals that member posted.

Great work MoT!! That interactive chart is even cooler. I thought you would have been burnt out after last month, but then you go and do this?!?

Thanks MoT, I'll update the race stats. No need to keep a running tally every month. Keep posting the top 10 stats for the month and I'll update the total in the race stats.

You guys are insane with the data crunching. Love it. Another aspect of why this place is far superior.

Run or hide just for fun deals I find

I've been MIA for about a year and a half now and I feel weirdly happy to be mentioned in a thread like this. I've gone through a lot during this time, but i hope to reintegrate into the awesome community you've built up and contribute a lot more in the future! Thanks MoT!
