As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

If you had included Hodinkee's pre-owned/vintage marketplace I would have agreed.

These both made me laugh. Notice neither is listed in the “Sources of Deals” thread...despite being hugely popular, they completely gouge on price.

Check out this hot Glycine deal!

https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales/sen ... -pre-owned

Act now if you want this genuine used Incursore for the smoking price of only $960. And remember: Final sale, not eligible for return.

OK, so it looks to be a pre-Invicta. Maybe that warrants some sort of collectability points, or lends some assurance to those wary of QC slippage under new ownership.

Would you like a used Seiko mecha quartz watch that sold new for about $100? That'll be $1200 please (plus $35 shipping of course): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seiko-SSB003-V ... 4299277595

While browsing straps this morning, I came across this "smoking" deal from Deutschland. Ach du lieber Gott...for the price of a mere Tudor, you can have a "natural rubber" strap! At this price, it better be more like "supernatural"...as in the Fountain of Youth!

They wouldn't be the first one to make a mistake changing their prices on eBay. I seem to remember an eBay store having to shut down after a huge automated price update error.

Apparently you were right--they fixed it--now about $28 US. Guess they weren't selling at the insane price! (To be fair, they do have some nice looking straps.)

Knew it had to be Areatrend even before I clicked the link. They call everything a fashion watch. 😂
