Best deal, I don’t know. Here are a few deals I thought were good at the time.

I got this Seiko SRPC29 in May. I cannot find the email receipt for it, but it was around $150.

Image

I got this Alpiner 4 GMT for $458 in August.

Image

And I just got this one from Amazon. I got it at $150, and that is about $48-$50 lower than I have ever seen it.

Image

So, some pretty solid deals, but no crazy, deals this year (yet!).

My Sun and Moon was also a pretty good deal at $164 from Creation Watches. It’s v2, so no hacking or hand winding. I’m OK with that, as I didn’t think those were worth the $100ish premium over this one.

I was pleased with 2 purchases. Don't know if these were cheaper back in the day but for me, I'm happy.
Eterna Super Kontiki 1273-41-49-1363 for 681 EUR.
JeanRichard Aquascope Hokusai for 708.95 USD.

My favorite was an ebay find. Full kit Raketa Big Zero dated to 1989 for $24.

I recently let it go because I wasn't wearing it very often, but I kind of miss it.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

I managed to grab this Hamilton during Ashford's black Friday sale for only $280. I also managed to pick up this MWW Iconik 4. It wasn't on sale but I still consider it a deal because they were all sold out when I bought it. I had emailed MWW asking if they would have any more Iconik 4s in stock again. They told me that they actually still had one watch left that someone pre-ordered but then canceled. I asked if they would sell it to me for the pre-order price of $389. An incredible deal for a watch that was already sold out. ImageImage

For me the Victorinox Classic Officer's watch 241370 from Massdrop at $159.99 last April.
ETA 2824-2 on a bracelet with sapphire at that price is hard to beat.
(yes unfortunately the date disc is white but you cannot get everything and for me it actually works well with is a large date window)

Sorry stock picture, I don't have one of mine right now:

I know, this was a tough one for me after a banner year of deals. Good problem to have I guess!

I've found a few good bargains this year, but the winner would probably be the Citizen Grand Touring for $338 (including Macy's cash back).  This feels every bit a >$1000 watch.

A combination of Ebay, local antique and pawnshops and private parties.
