Recommendations - Vintage Watch Repair/Service

Post by Nrachad »

I hope I posted this in the correct area. I apologize if it belongs somewhere else.

I have the opportunity to purchase a small collection of desirable vintage watches. They’ve all been sitting for a long time and could use cleaning/servicing. Some are in need of minor restoration. I’m hoping to find one trustworthy watchmaker or company who can handle everything. I’d appreciate your thoughts on a fair price to purchase these and your recommendations where to have them serviced.

Here’s what I’m looking at:

These all work and seem to keep time: Doxa 300T Pro, Gruen Ocean Chief, Aquastar Benthos 500, Zodiac Super Seawolf

These two do not work: Zodiac Seawolf and another Super Seawolf

Thank you in advance,

Whew that is quite a little collection. Some money there for sure.

I have personally used Exact Time in Glen Carbon IL for servicing several vintage watches and have been very pleased with the service, pricing, and communication. https://exactime.biz/
