As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

As BATMAN posted HERE, a new Islander watch resembling a Seiko Turtle is now available. The price is $299 for the two sand-blasted options and $349 for the black DLC option.

Deep Blue's Nato Diver is very comparable and comes in much cheaper after the perpetual 40% off discounts.

I hope LIW does well, it's always good to have another player in the market.
I would argue that if the Islander is superior to the Deep Blue for three reasons: ceramic bezel insert, the bezel insert is fully lumed (vs. just a pip), and drilled lugs.

Being as they're from Long Island, the Grumman caseback is fitting.

A little while back, LIW introduced another diver similar to the Seiko Samurai with a few different colorways.

And now there are 5 more dive watches available, 3 Turtle style models and 2 SKX models. Prices start at $299. He also mentions in the video that other models besides Turtles and SKXs are coming soon.

One more SKX-style Islander colorway to add to the line-up. Green dial with a Yachtmaster-style bezel. I think this one looks great. At about 1:10 on the video, he briefly mentions the styles of watches that are coming next.

OK it's official....I spend too much time looking at watches on Instagram. I just accurately identified the photography and wrist above as belonging to @tyalexanderphotography.
