I won't buy a Tudor.

But only because I can't afford one.

Of course not. It does nothing for my figure.

Yeah, a fordor gets you better insurance rates.

After the Swatch/Vortic debacle, I'm going to make a conscious effort to avoid Swatch products. Don't really see how that's going to be possible, however...

One word. Seiko. Or two words. Grand Seiko!

Adding to my list of watches I won't buy because of their name--Slow watches.

I mean don't you want your watches to run correctly?

I think Ernie Romers wears a Slow.

To update my list of watches I wouldn't have anything to do with:

Add--Orion Calamity; Spinnaker Wreck; and any watch with a death's head on the dial.

I own an atomic square, but I think most G Shocks are hideous. On the other end of the cost spectrum, I will never understand the appeal of an AP Royal Oak. I'd rather wear my original Pebble. And Invictas I just can't.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

squincher wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 5:54 am I don't extend any moral judgement to those who enjoy fliegers. They are great watches, I completely understand the attraction, and I know there is nothing wrong with the companies and people who benefit from their sale today. For some reason, no other watches from any other period of history bother me at all. Weird, I know.
I went ahead and bought a b-dial flieger from Torgoen since the quoted post. I love the size and legibility. Maybe it is because the watch looks a bit different because it is on a bracelet, but I don't have any problem with it.

Strangely, at least to me, I served in the U.S. Army in West Germany during the Cold War (in fact, I was there when the wall came down) but the thought of buying a Soviet era Vostok is kind of appealing.

I have no idea why I find fliegers kind of repellant. I have absolutely no connection to anyone or anything affected by the war in Europe. Maybe I will put the Torgoen on a flieger strap and see if I can put it on.

All of them, but especially the latest.

The old old one (with the W inside the C) would not have been that bad if that was it. But it was too much to also spell out Christopher Ward and have "London" on a third line. I kind of like the new one, but the best looking IMO is when it's just the plus sign. As on this one.
