I love this look (which is why I already own the Oris Diver’s 65) but this is still tempting.

That coffin-link bracelet seems to be the historically accurate style but I’m not seeing it as an option on the website. I think I’d go with that one on the 39mm if it were an option.

Would also like to see them come out with a no-date version. It reminds me a lot of what keeps me from buying most variants of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53. Those markers and numerals are just too cool to not have balance with them.

Just received an email from Yema: "Get -10% off with promo code JULY10% till July 31st" Not sure if it's only applicable to the diver though.
Code will work on all the new releases on Monday.

Already $1000 markup on the new blue BB58. Hmmm, it's still available from big ADs like Tourneau at retail if you move quickly.....

Weird. I thought it was just that pic from Watchonista but the Tudor pics make it looks like it must be on that way too.
Also never really made sense to me when Seiko did it with the sarb065s

The tale I heard about the c o c ktail time was that it was because when you raised a glass for a toast, you wouldn't offend anyone with the ugly side of your strap. Or something. Ive had too many c o c ktails to remember[emoji23]

The Japanese do that with dressier watches. The cleaner look towards the viewer is considered polite, I think.

2020 New and Upcoming Releases!

Mido is dipping into their back catalog to launch the stunning Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961. I personally wish they would have retained the all-stainless bezel of the original, but it’s still a very striking watch.

Agreed. The original just recently came into my radar and I had hoped they would re-release it some day.

If they had stuck to the original 38mm diameter / 18mm lug width it would have been an instabuy for me I think. I am in the minority though.

Still, it’s a very nice re-release! Now who has a code!? 😉

Based on other Mido releases over the past few years, if you wait ~9 months, you may be able to get this from an AD like Macy’s for ~$800.

Completely agree...best strategy with Mido is to wait out the hype. Great watches, but their marketing machine cannot sustain the value balloon they create with each launch.
