I have never gifted a watch but there are two Auburn fans in my life who came to mind when I saw that watch.

Helson now has a Shark Diver GMT, launched on May 14th, 2020. Interestingly, they chose the 38mm for this. I can't imagine it being the most popular size out of the line-up but it is the most suitable size for me. I tried on a 40mm at a GTG but the straight and big lugs did not fit me well.

https://www.helsonwatches.com/shop.php# ... ort=normal

The GMT's specs taken straight from the site:

--Case: Brushed 316L surgical stainless steel - Ø 38 mm - height 12.4 mm - lug distance 20 mm - lug to lug length 46mm, weight 186g on bracelet
--Screwed crown with side protection
--Sapphire crystal: 2.7 mm thick - inside AR coated.
--Bezel with sapphire inlay
--Water resistance: 300m/1000 ft
--Dial, hands and bezel coated with Swiss SuperLuminova
--Bracelet: Comfortable 20 mm stainless steel bracelet with removable screwed end links, ratcheting clasp; 20x20mm CUDA rubber strap.
--Movement: 21 Jewels Swiss Automatic ETA 2893-2

Price: $899

Availability: As of now, 5 units are available for each variant.

It seems to be really well machined watch, nice specs - I am sure a lot of people will be interested in 38 mm. Price is fair too. However, every time I see Helson I hear myself humming "another brick in the wall".

Thanks yinzburgher - Too bad the lugs are so long (not dissing on their design, just my slim wrist can't take them), otherwise I'd be all over each of the new O&W releases. They look so nice.

GMT Diver must be in vogue because Zelos just issued Gen 2 of their Horizons GMT.

https://zeloswatches.com/collections/ho ... 0558de0a3c

Key updates according to them:

Slimmer Case and Bezel Profile (11mm on the V2 versus 12mm)
48 Click GMT Bezel
Higher Vintage Styled 'Box' Sapphire Crystal (2.5mm above the bezel)
Lumed Bezel Markings with Sapphire insert
Bracelet Included as standard

$749 for most variants except the meteorite models.

I like the white.

I had the V1 without a bracelet. I paid the pre-order price ($650 I think), and I can say that one was easily worth $750. Slightly slimmer case and bracelet included makes this an excellent value, IMO.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

I just read your review of the V1! Thanks for that. It certainly looks good and I have heard similar feedback on their quality.

Any word on where to pick these up? I need me one of those SRPE29s.

Reached out to REJ to see if they'll be stocking them.

I'd say give it a little time as the releases are snowballing due to coronavirus. The one in the picture looks to be the store-sample prototypes (non-functional) but they typically showcase these a few months in advance for dealers to handle. I predict... September-october.

From Undone. Looks pretty cool, 40mm, quartz with sweeping seconds, and starts under $180 with email signing coupon for 10% off.

Most importantly, and I quote, " Gain an insight into your destiny through the mapping of stars, observe the delicate balance of the five elements; Earth, Wind, Fire, Water & Metal, like a proper Feng Shui Master.
