As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.
2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
New Seiko 5 "5kx" in 40mm without the bezel.
Probably going to flood the markets like the 5kx.
Also revised to have 20mm lugs.
Same IG account has some IRL pics.
Some interesting 5kx variations. All gold available as well.

Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
Pretty cool. The sunburst gray SRPE61K1 will be a pretty versatile watch to wear with rubber, leather, or different color NATOs. I kind of wish they just got rid of the chapter ring all together, rather than have people playing the alignment lottery with each one they order.
Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
My theory about the chapter ring is that they never changed the molds on it over the 20+ years they produced the chapter rings it; I'd have to guess that the original skx chapter rings were more snug and over the period of production, the molds just wore out.
Or Seiko is just lazy and their mold makers need to be fired.
Personally love that they're carrying the skx genes but no screw-down crown is a deal killer for me. Just too many incidents regarding push/pull crowns from my own experience for a "tool" watch.

The red bezel version looks Devil-lious
Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
I can pull off a 44mm easily, but the proportions on these look much better!yinzburgher wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:46 am These aren't on the Bulova website, but there are two new variants of the Oceanographer/ "Devil Diver" available from some retailers in both North America and Europe. Re: 2020 New and Upcoming Releases!
Woah, guess I’ll be buying the blue bezel variant. Haven’t heard/read/seen anything about the black bezel not coming back. Wouldn’t make much sense to me given the popularity, but the initial release didn’t make much sense given that they released a good looking watch without branding on the side of the case!EA-Sports wrote:Thoughts on these?

I think the Coke variant already sold out. Looks like only blue or green left when I try to add to cart.ManOnTime wrote:No idea.EA-Sports wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:37 am Thoughts on these?

I like them. No idea about whether the one with the black bezel is coming back. Hopefully. I'm quoting my post about that one to show the specs for these again. I had a look on the Invicta site and found some other new ones. Click on the model numbers to link to Invicta's site.yinzburgher wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 7:39 am You may have seen elsewhere on this forum that Invicta (yep!) has released a homage to the original 1953 Rolex Submariner. You won't find any articles or reviews of this watch from the main watch publications but I think it's worth posting here for a few reasons. This is an opportunity to pick up a watch that is known to be a popular modding platform and DOES NOT have Invicta engraved on the side of the case unlike many other 40mm automatic Pro Divers. I also think that many will find this to be a very good looking watch without any modifications at all. And I think it's possible that we could see more non-engraved 40mm NH35 divers from Invicta following this release. Also, the price is right. Check out the ShopHQ link for a video that shows the watch in greater detail.
