As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Timex Waterbury Traditional Automatic TW2T69700. I found this one pre-owned but barely worn on eBay for $85 after taxes and shipping. It occurred to me to try one of these when they first came out but they were going for over $250. Then a while back, cairoanan posted deals for Timex automatics from a site called farfetch.com. I thought something didn't seem right, maybe too good to be true, so I resisted the deal as well as the obvious joke. Well it turned out to not be all that farfetched because Stretch44 got a steal on one of these and I've had to see him wear it ever since. To some degree, that deal served as inspiration for me to post the Jet/Ergode deal.....knowing it could very well be too good to be true.

Now I'm happy to have finally found this one for a decent price. Maybe it's not a perfectly executed watch but I won't let that stop me from enjoying it. I think it's very good-looking overall and I'm really happy with it so far.

Thanks!

I tend to wear darker, earth tone colors. Over the last few months I felt a strong urge to inject some color into my life.

Also, the Venus flytrap is one creepy plant!

Not sure if I am keeping this yet but since there isn’t a “should I keep this?” thread, here it is. [emoji3526] A world timer that’s <40mm that’s pretty uncommon, right?

What happens when you combine some spare time, a few extra dollars, an Internet connection, an Amazon Prime account, and a bit of '80s nostalgia?

This.

Just received this San Martin Datejust homage ordered directly from Taobao. This introduces some unique features to my collection: PT5000 movement, cyclops, MOP dial, fluted bezel, president bracelet.

That's a looker.

Please don't tell me there is a two-tone version. It would scratch my Datejust itch, but I don't need to buy anything else right now.

I only see gold or silver. Sadly no two tone. But you can buy one of each and make your own!!

I have a feeling that I may be order a Casio calculator watch this weekend. You just put me over the edge. I can't fight this feeling any longer. I tell myself that I can't hold out forever.

I think it's time to bring this ship into the shore.
