Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

When I posted this deal for the Timex x Todd Snyder Pride Watch, I was tempted to jump on it.
But slept on it and waited until the next day to see if still in stock.
It was, so pulled the trigger.

Arrived today. Comes on a perlon strap, which though nice doesn't feel quite right for this watch.
So found a vintage strap that I've been holding onto for the right watch. Think it works well.

Bought this dead for €150. Purchased a replacement ekectronic module for €100, an adapter to permit use of a 329 battery (the original 388 is no longer produced), and a 329 battery. The module arrived today, so I did the surgery during conference calls. Now fully working, a €260 investment.

What's cool about this watch is the very unique 1330 caliber. The crown in the second position changes only the hour hand and not the minutes, to permit easy adjustnent for timezone changes. The tip of the crown has an embedded button that with the help of a toothpick fast changes the minute hand.

That is so cool.

Quartz Omega are overlooked, so the prices are good. Maybe I should get one before certain blogs cause the prices to rise because of donkeys. ;)

I tend to stear clear of vintage quartz, as they are sometimes a crapshoot as far as finding parts and being able to repair (with my limited skillset). But in this case the parts are readily available and easy to change out.

ImageBeen a huge fan of this site and the camaraderie since the beginning. Good to see people treating other people well, especially on the internet. I don't post much, mostly because I have been trying to stay away from deals in order to save for this- a long time coming. It arrived today from Crown and Caliber. I had never seen one in person, until today. It is everything I was hoping it would be.
