:o That's pretty tight! It appears to have sapphire or something on the the bezel. Whatever it is, combined with that lume, gives the watch it's own vibe.

New to me Alpiner 4 just arrived about 10 minutes ago. Had this one on my eBay alerts for some time and finally pulled the trigger last week. I don’t think pics do it justice but I’m also not feeling the replacement strap it came on so I’m off to find it some new shoes.

Although this will not end up with me, it will go to my friends future brother in law as a gift for their wedding.

Just arrived today from Poljot24.de - the Poljot Interational Pobeda 2602w. With new old stock manual-wind ZIM 2602 movement from 1958. Nicely sized at 38mm. The stock leather strap was too long for my wrist (a common problem) so I swapped in a lightly-used shorter strap from Clover Straps.

This came in today.

Heck of a lot of watch for $56. Even came in an Edifice branded G-Shock style tin.

I did not. I don't know why, but the countdown bezel would drive me nuts.

Definitely a keeper for the long run collection. Specially at the $70 price range for a Special Edition. The watch is very well made, I like the Puck type case and crystal. Even though it is only a 38mm watch, the strap makes it wear more normally and as always great contrast for easy time viewing. The Sunburst orange hands contrast well with dark brown dial. The strap is nice, maybe it will soften up better.. but defintely not as good as the Bertucci Bison Straps that are just sublime. I'll try a different strap tomorrow.

One of the OG field watches!

Well, a damn good homage of it anyway.

The Hamilton I ordered from Nordstrom Rack finally delivered.
And honestly, I'm "whelmed" by it. Not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed, just...whelmed.

It's nice, just not blowing me away. Or living up to the hype I had for it in my mind.
And the fact I'm thinking about returning it should be reason enough to return it.
Oh well, you never know unless you try.

Here's some pics after I opened up the box.
