Re: Show Off Your New Watch
This is much more impressive in person. The quality is very good and I love the size. The crystal dome gives a dark blue tint to the chapter ring at certain angles. Operation of both crowns is not buttery, but quite smooth. I see what all the hype is about over these. Lume not yet checked.

Thought you guys might enjoy some unboxing shots of a Meccaniche Veneziane Nereide 42mm - 1202014. Notably, I ordered on the 1st and they got it shipped from Italy and to me in Michigan today.
I really like their packaging and presentation.
Been wearing it a couple of hours, and I'm loving it so far

Just one dial shot. No more natural light.
The dial is unique among my three dozen watches. #49 of 50.

Just my $0.02 USD as always.

That looks great! They almost got me a week or two ago. I'm trying to show some restraint.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
The EMG Horizon arrived yesterday.
In the package: Watch, canvas watch roll, strap changing tool, a surprise bonus cork strap. As someone who thinks fancy boxes are wasteful, I appreciate the cardboard tube as a functional and disposable container.
The watch itself is great. The case is a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, the pushers have a crisp snap to them, and the watch is lightweight which spares it from feeling bulky. The included straps barely fit my 6.5" wrist, but they'll work until my short straps from Martu and CNS arrive.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
I really dig that creamy dial!
My new 5KX is currently timing a pizza in the oven. 7 more minutes to go. I have to make the "ding" sound myself, but that's alright.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
Finally was able to travel to Garching to pick this up. Disappointingly the second hand misses most of the marks and the crown, though signed, feels cheap. Bezel alignment is perfect and moves smoothly. Themed packaging and noticeably high-quality spring bars stand out. Wears a bit smaller than expected. Lug width is only 20mm, with a notched "22mm" band. Case and bezel finish appear to be good quality and are brushed on all surfaces.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
Just received: a Tissot Gentleman Automatic. I'm not sure I'm a fan. It wouldn't wear too large except the lugs aren't contoured well to the wrist and sit high off the wrist. The leather band is also very stiff and will likely be replaced. Otherwise it is nice with a pretty dial. Not sure if its a keeper.
