Do you ever go on a certain watch kick?
I do, usually after encountering an enticing photo. I then spend the next few days to a week obsessing over this type of watch.
Here are some from recent memory. Admittedly there are some recurring themes here, so perhaps they're not just flings after all...
- 70s racing chronos. They just look fun, with all their colors and pushers.
- Anything cushion cased, especially chronos.
- A novel field watch. I just love field watches and keep searching for something new in this category. Recently Boldr Expedition 2 piqued my interest.
- Timex MK1s and campers. I already have a bunch of A-17s, but just can't stop looking at these.
- Russians. Hours of browsing Meranom more often than not triggered by this page.
- Turtles and occasionally tunas. So many colors!
- Vintage dress watches, especially cushion cases.
As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Re: Watch flings
Totally...some last hours, others weeks.

Yep, I think many of us are similarly afflicted.
There is so much variety these days. It's a blessing and a curse!
Lately I have been looking for anything with a snowflake hand set. Round or square markers. From Tudor on down.
And to a lesser extent, divers with colored dials. I flipped two Deep Blues last year. Looking at yellow and red. Maybe white.

Just my $0.02 USD as always.
