As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Seiko Blue Alpinist SPB089 listings on ebay. Not too surprised to see it here but I am surprised to see 30 active listings and 13 sold listings, the highest of which is over $1800.

At first I thought I was just seeing another article about the gold tone "Full Metal Square" Casio G-Shock. But nope....this new G-D5000-9JR is Solid 18 karat gold and costs $70K.

Not in my budget, but that is way cool! Like gold-dipping a food stamp.

I've actually had the pleasure of seeing the original "Dream Project" watch in the metal at a local event. At first I didn't know what it was, but I got a good laugh when I found out. I like it when brands do stuff like this; just something lighthearted and fun that everyone can smile at.

I was going to make a joke about how they made one of the toughest watches encased in one of the softest metals.
Until I watched the video.
But for $70k, the thing better act like a G-Shock.

Boldr also just released the new titanium Venture. It's an aerospace grade titanium 38mm case running an ETA 802.102 Quartz Movement, a matte dial with superlume markers. Additional details via the link. Maybe we can post this one only once. ;)

I appreciated that you added the different specs/features, too. That's what the first post in the thread encourages people to do:
yinzburgher wrote: Sun Feb 10, 2019 10:50 pm... Please try to include some basic information about the new watch. That might include the brand and model, dimensions, specifications, price, release date, links to the brand website, articles, Instagram, press releases, and of course photos.

I appeciate the assist! Was rushing to post before the last 3 were gone. Tried to make my second post for the titanium series a bit more complete.

Well, did you manage to get one of those last 3? They are really beautiful watches. If they were priced 200 cheaper, I would have probably taken the plunge [emoji24]

Too many nice watches priced in that region although I must say that they are really unique and attractive and exclusive.

“Only 2 remaining”...but no it wasn’t me. Agree with your assessment. Limited editions are often hype-priced. This one’s a bit too high IMO.

There are very likely more than 2 left: they are also available on Boldr's own website along with a blue version.

Looks like also a red version. Unclear if there are 11 of each color variant or 33 of each...my guess is the latter. Happy to see a swiss movement, but the carbon fiber to price ratio feels a bit gimmicky.
