It’s supposed to get down to 8F tonight here in Lexington, but we do occasionally get subzero action, sometimes for a week or two. I have a heat pump so it’s normally cheap, but gets expensive when it’s really cold.

We've had a very mild winter so far. This is the first real cold stretch. I'm one of those weirdos who enjoy it. I'd almost take this over the 95°+ temps with 75° dew points we get in the summer. Almost. Car show season is none existant in this weather. [emoji16]

It's still short sleeve weather (for me at least, some of my neighbors think I'm nuts, but c'mon it's 58°F!!!). Rocking the 009 again today hoping it will bring the same luck as last week. Look for a watch change if things aren't going my way. I have a few more red/blues to cycle through if the going gets tough.ImageImage

Always colder with clear sunny skies...no clouds to trap in radiation. Nice looking dial, super clean.

Got in my first true homage yesterday.

A few days ago when someone mentioned a 20% off sale for Amazon Warehouse, didn't see anything that caught my eye.

However, did run across a preowned Benyar for $16. And since it does look quite similar to the Maurice Lacroix Pontos I've been eyeing, went ahead and bought it.

It's bigger at 43mm vs for the ML. And quartz opposed to an auto. But for roughly 3% of the price, can't really complain.

It came on a branded suede band, but luckily had another extra brown leather strap laying around.

Far and wide I will find 'em and I ride 'em
Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

-18c is 0F.

As an aside, I really wish we'd get with the program and adopt the metric system. It makes so much more sense.

I agree somewhat. It is a pain when I am looking for a socket wrench the next size up from 13/16" and have to do math. But Farenheit is a more precise measurement of temperature which I like even though the whole 0° is freezing and 100° is boiling makes sense. Also, I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time, not .402 km at a time.
