If you're wondering if I drive it the way you're supposed to. Well I do....until the last lap. LOL

That is awesome! The torque curve on that thing is ridiculous. I kept thinking, when is he gonna downshift? Oh wait, he doesn't need too! Torque for days at 2500 rpm. Also on lap 1 you came into that hairpin HOT! That looks like a blast and sounds amazing. I think you can get it down to about the 2:04 mark in time.

I am super jealous. I have never done any track time, but have played racing games and sims for at least 15 years. The money I spent on my last wheel setup could have probably got me a track day or two!

Absolutely agree on the time. This was my first time in this car and had it not been for the indecisive M5 Dinan on the front straight, I would've had a 2:06. The car definitely has a 2:04 with a clear track. I'm going back March 25 and 26th so we'll find out.

I use to 1/4 mile race from 1984 to 2006. Then I got the road racing bug.....bad. Never looked back. I also wasted a lot of time trying to make bigger/slower cars fast. No Bueno. My last 2 cars have been Corvettes. Absolutely purpose-built to attack a road course. And you absolutely nailed it. Coming out of Turn 11 (Oak Tree) I actually lose time if I downshift to second. The Z06 has so much torque that I spend 75% of my time in 3rd or 4th and only shift into 5th toward the end of each straight away....and never downshift into 2nd.

Finally the car I pass on the back straight is a Porsche GT3 RS with a price tag of $200K. I don't mind sharing that the Corvette costs $75K. Gotta love American muscle.

Not sure anyone's going to recognize this one, here's the story. Dad's watch from the 80's, was lying in the storage somewhere, he serviced it and sent it to me..still works. Can't find too much info about this brand Enicar. Feels good wearing it though, my first squareish dial watch.

Happy Sunday you all

Here's a good article on Enicar. They were definitely a respected brand back in the day and another victim of the quartz crisis. Looks like a Chinese company bought the name and like so many others, modern Enicars aren't really related at all to the vintage pieces.

Learning to love my bargain reverse atomic square while reading the Review section of the Journal. I'm beginning to think of the highly reflective, low-visibility display as a sort of mysterious complication -- I have to work to read this thing. But the effect is cool.

Here's another fun rabbit hole to go down, a whole thread of Enicar watches from the WUS Vintage section
