The fix is already there....

Stainless Steel cases do not have a loud tick.

Waterbury and most Allieds are SS.

I own a Waterbury and it does have a fairly loud tick. But for me I enjoy a solid ticking, very nostalgic.

This all begs the question: How loud is the movement out of the case? I wonder of my dB meter will pick up the tick if I set it up right???

I didn’t know that was a thing. Should I post WRUW shots where the background is a dirty piece of machinery or something?

Anyway, I fly my geek flag proudly and often.

Oh no, pulling out the dB meter to measure the decibels of the ticking from a watch screams manly and gets her hot every time.

That train left the station a long, long time ago in this household. 😂

Same here. There is no, nor has there ever been the impression that I was not a geek. Best to go into a long term relationship with that one out on the table right away. It isn’t something that can be hid.

Since I used to have this very watch, It is proof that:
1. I need to up my photography skills.
2. It isn’t that people have better looking watches than I do, they are just better at presenting them.

At least that means I can relax about my watches not looking as good as others- they are just fine.
