Grandrally quartz chrono inbound from an eB*y seller this Friday. I had bought the green dial version last winter and I like it, but just haven't bonded with it. These are awesome and I LOVE this colorway! Green one will be going up for sale soon.

I had this color and REALLY wanted to like it but just didn't bond with it. Loved the dial so much. Great buy!

Finally took the plunge on this one. 36mm, Miyota 9039, Hi dome anti-reflective sapphire, 100 meter water resistance. I like the classic looks too.

Nice choice! These look great. When the Q reissue with Pepsi bezel came out I started browsing the vintage ones on ebay. This was immediately the one I was most drawn to. But I'd be more likely to go for this new one I think.

Thanks for posting that pic, yinz. I hadn’t seen the original before. Looks like it had a different but equally cool bracelet. TS has been referring their “exclusive bracelet” on this model so I wonder if Timex will be releasing it directly with one that better matches your pic. Will be interesting to see.

Well, the seller went for my -$150 offer for his Jenny Caribbean, so I guess this is mine. Not an orange ‘63 1000, but still a triple seal.

The news came just after I made the decision that I needed a cheap car-inspired watch in my life (after reading a cool story about my WRUW watch today that connects the movement designer to Bugatti).

Not in the mail, yet, but I pre-ordered this from Reed's.

New user coupons don't apply to pre-orders but still got 5% cash back from Rakuten, so that basically takes care of the taxes.

The 25% off code at Nordstrom Rack finally pushed me over the edge in ordering this Hamilton that I've had my eye on for some time.

Image

Roughly $353 before taxes.

Granted, about $28 net cheaper at Ashford with their 10% code and cash back. But trusting that the Rack is an AD, so $30 for full warranty is fine by me.

Data-Link 150. Looks to be in pristine shape.

Now I will probably need to gather the supplies needed to build a programmer for it.

Mwahahaha. The DataLink disease is spreading just as I had planned!

Seriously though, the technology is pretty cool. Sure we have blue tooth and USB and all that, but flashing a light to convey data is pretty cool.

I think I need to start a thread about these.

WELL...I should've waited a week. Paid just over $300 on eBay plus shipping and tax, and now @pdsf posted in the HUISABH forum that Watchstation has this same model on flash sale for $195, free shipping and they're an AD. Aaaargh! Still...I got my ZO9604 quickly, am very pleased, and still think I got a bargain! (But isn't this really about the quest for the "best" bargain?) If you don't mind Swiss quartz, these Zodiacs are well-made and attractive.
