As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

I'm happy to see that after some consolidation you're able to get your hands on the grail.

To be totally truthful, I've thought about this one a few times as well. This and the Ritz cracker one.

Thanks to flypanam pointing out that the 20% off code on eBay also works on select Casios, I'm fulfilling my childhood dream of owning a calculator watch. Two, actually, because I prefer the look of the white case but the legibility of the positive display so I'm going to attempt a module swap. Two sweet watches and a project for $32.

I think you're gonna like it. By far the most unique NTH sub, and that case is just so good. I personally love the 80's vibe it has going, mine is for sure staying in the stable.

watch arrived.I love it but sadly it has some issues.Got in touch with Stowa support and within few hours started the RMA process. Watchis back on its way to Germany. Pictures below should be self explanatory.
1.png2.png3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg7.jpg
watch was returned after the spot was removed. the circular marks around the crown are more inward now and not visible when crown is in. the lugs were cleaned up and don't see marks there too. The AR coating seems to be improved somehow too.no bronze buckle yet. Stowa will post it to me when they receive stock. I wonder if they rushed the production on this one somehow.

On my question if this watch would patina further, received the following reply -"Regarding your previous email, please note that the bronze case should not patina in the future, however it could and this depends on the handling of the watch (e.g. lotions you use).We don´t expect it to change, however if it does, the change should be very little only"

and this arrived today. Apologies for the poor pictures.

This is my first watch with a SW210 manual wind.
Crown is easy to grip and the winding is buttery smooth in the beginning and builds resistance before getting tight towards the end. Forgot to count after 40 turns. Case finishing is good and won't be out of place be on a more expensive watch with satin brushed finishing and a polished bezel. Boxed sapphire crystal sits about 2mm high from case. AR coating on the underside is good.

Lume is good and there's no confusion on time in the dark either with the triangle at the 12 and shortened hour hand. Legibility is not an issue day or night. Supplied leather strap is good but has a keeper which isn't the easiest to fit or remove as it captures the clasp. Locks in place very well without it too. The metal clasp is of good quality and does not dig into the wrist. Lug holes seem to be placed high compared to other watches I own but don't think would be an issue.

It feels smaller(not dainty) for a 36mm, due to the black dial, compared to my 36mm Eterna Kontiki seen below. Happy with the watch so far.

Going to check out this Braun AW50 from Amazon, a reissue of an iconic nineties watch. The straight angles toward the lugs got me. Or maybe it was the date window...
