As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Some other worthy non-peated islay / lowlands drams to try:

Auchentoshan18 - “like a bourbon, mocha, leather, a hundred other things — and a long, smooth finish“
Bruichladdich - “briny, hints of tropical fruit and butterscotch”
Glengoyne - “like pure distilled honey — soft, creamy, harmonious.”

Whiskey sour with Woodford Reserve, homemade simple syrup, lemon juice, and egg white.

Had it mostly drunk before I thought to take a pic of my watch, so here it is separate.

Really enjoying this Irish Whisky - was the star of my advent calendar this year, so I had to buy a bottle.

Merry Christmas to those celebrating!

Wife gifted me this quartet of 200mls. Never had anything other than Black, so looking forward to a little tasting later on tonight. [emoji39]

Yes, it imparts a very unique nose and finish. I am crazy surprised by how much I like it.

I too got gifted some booze. There is also an unpictured bottle of Blantons and a sixer of various craft brews, but these were the standouts.

What a mess, never seen a cheap cork disintegrate like this. Nothing a little tea strainer can't fix.

Got a bottle of absinthe to try for the first time...and 5 or 6 **** recipes to try with it tonight. Gonna put a few in each post so I don’t gum up the thread too badly...

First up, a sazerac

Second, a McKinley’s Delight

Stay tuned for more as the evening wears on! [emoji1]
