As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

No not really. that is in my study where I have some dim indirect overhead lights that i get the light from. I use an Iphone and hold really still. I also angle it to avoid reflections. I wasnt that close to the watch when taking, I stayed back and cropped to give the close up end result. I did tweak exposure and contrast a bit before publishing. The watch is sitting in a desk drawer. I found it to be a good location for getting this style shot consistantly.

Here are a few others in the same spot. A couple times i tried to use a flashlight off the ceiling to provide additinal lighting from the opposite side as the room lights.

You can tell they all have a similar look and I'm getting bored of that and needing to find a way to change it up. I think I am developing a good eye for these type of shots but I literally spend seconds composing it so i t could be better.

Great pics! Also, good book choices, really enjoyed 1776. I may have to give another read.

The ever rare Glycine lume shot. It's probably illegible by now, but hey, full moon!

Putting my little girl down for the night presents as the perfect opportunity for a lume shot.

Lume shot of the Edox Moonphase. It's predictably weak, and lasts maybe minutes.
