Sounds like OP has already made up their mind, but thought I'd share a couple photos of the 34mm Max Bill handwinder on my 6.5" wrist just in case. It's a perfect fit, in my opinion.

Watch diameter only means little to nothing. Lug-to-lug and style make just as much difference. A 37mm dress watch looks great on my 6.75” wrist. The Captain Cook 37mm I had seemed smallish. And a 40mm watch with 50+mm lug-to-lug looks too big on me, while a 43mm with 47mm lug-to-lug works.
