Alright, I just heard back from Aris1312 and Sdelka should be on her way to Germany soon. I think some things may have been lost in translation as English is not his first language, but rest assured, it was in good hands. I even got a picture of her on a rainy day in Athens.

I would have never thought that Grands Fork, ND was more interesting, had better food and was more scenic than Greece!

Looking forward to seeing Munich!

Sdelka indeed arrived safely to Munich! I was able to pick her up from Customs this morning. She must have partied hard in Greece or with the Customs agents last night, as she arrived with her band a bit dirty and with a few crystal scratches down her right side, one a nail-catcher. When she arrived she just kept repeating "treló eléfanta" and began mumbling something about a bouncer, six midgets and a parachute. But it was hard to follow.

Her older sister Natasha tried talking some sense into her, but she's a young rebellious hotty and will not be reasoned with...the she gonna party hard and see the world. We are just happy she made it safely. She is going for a spa treatment and crystal rub and will be ready for sightseeing and more photos this afternoon.

A photo of her when she arrived:

And one with her sister:

Damn she parties hard! My kind of lady!

Looking at the time frame, I'm thinking she will be in NYC during a few snow storms in Jan or Feb. Woohoo!

No she just got out of a bad relationship, she was never allowed to leave the house. She said she fell down the stairs but we all know what that means.

To happy times in Munich!

The copper kettles at the Löwenbrau brewery in Neuhausen (northwestern part of Munich)...if you look closely, you will see the brewery’s sign reflected (backwards) across Sdelka’s face.

Another shot of the brewery’s beautiful biergarten down the street.

watchpalooza GREAT pics so far. And it's only day one in Germany! Also, as mentioned in the OP, feel free to toss that strap for something you favor. I botched a 20mm to fit the 18mm lugs in my first month or so of watch enthusiasm. I won't be offended if the strap doesn't make it home.

Also great to see Sdelka reunited with her older and slightly more attractive sister! I am looking forward to more!

The modded strap looks way better than the manufacturer-modded one that came with my Lorus....I quite like it. But, today Sdelka wanted to wear something lighter, so today she will be on a sand-colored Barton borrowed from another Russian relative (a Boctok). Will see how it goes. I currently have a ton of 22 and 20mm canvas, rubber and nylon straps, but only a few 18’s. Most of my 18’s are leather for vintage watches. May have to go shopping. 8-)

Here she is on the Barton:

In a small park on the west side of Munich there is a monument to recognize individuals who had the courage to oppose the Nazi regime during WWII and gave their lives in doing so. It is a site most tourists never see. There are pillars arranged in a ring, each with a photo and individual story of heroism. It is called "The Resistance Monument". Often locals place floral arrangements or lit candles in front. Sdelka and I visited yesterday.
