Many more thanks to Yinzburgher for the new UV lamp. I can now cure the lume in the comfort of my office without having to go outside. The UV-resin also arrived, and yes it is fingernail polish.

Picturing Sporkboy sitting at his desk behind this mound of blue lume like Tony Montana is worth the price of admission.
Also, this is a very cool bleaching helmet but I'm worried it may be too big on you.

OK, I have never seen Scarface so I had to look this one up.yinzburgher wrote:[emoji106] Picturing Sporkboy sitting at his desk behind this mound of blue lume like Tony Montana is worth the price of admission.
This is exactly what it will look like. Thank you for the visual.

This is what I pictured when I thought of the piles of coke scene:
Nobody tell him about the chainsaw scene.

I'm more excited over the blue lume than I probably should be.

Thanks guys. The blue lume does look pretty good, and I think that it may look better than the green as it doesn’t have that ‘hey, this glows in the dark’ vibe. I will keep everyone posted.

Re: MoT's Watch Deal Forum Watches
This is definitely a mock-up as The lume layer is too thick by 50% in places. This is by design so that it can be sanded down.
As you see, it doesn’t look green at all
Nice bright blue after UV charging. Note that phone flash and standard lighting won’t charge this lume. It must be UV or sunlight.
It isn’t going to be the torch that the green is, but I like it
Now I need to get some more dials prepped and primed...

Oh wow......this looks great! As expected the blue lume isn't quite as bright as the green but then again the green has exceeded all expectations for brightness to begin with. I really like both but I do favor the "sleeper" white dial to the green color when not aglow. Very nice work.Sporkboy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 12:20 pm This is definitely a mock-up as The lume layer is too thick by 50% in places. This is by design so that it can be sanded down.

Re: MoT's Watch Deal Forum Watches
What happens if you mix the green and blue?!?!?
I think the blue looks incredible, as does the green, but for scientific purposes, I would love to see what happens when mixed. Never seen that one done before!
Count me in either way bud. Great work as usual!!

Re: MoT's Watch Deal Forum Watches
I think that I like the full lume blue dial better due to the less off-color hue that it gives. I have red green color blindness, and pictures are pictures so you guys will need to have these in hand to evaluate.yinzburgher wrote:Oh wow......this looks great! Still not happy with the luming process.

Re: MoT's Watch Deal Forum Watches
That is a really good question. Here is a 50/50 mix. It kind of mellows out both colors. I will need to do a mix with more blue in it.Dub Rubb wrote:What happens if you mix the green and blue?!?!?

I wonder if Sporkboy has access to a light meter. The blue and green could be the same brightness, but because of the way the human eye percieves the wavelengths, the blue may look not as bright.
