Evening switch to the Speedy. My Nick Mankey strap came in the mail today, so I'm mod compliant. Thanks to Androidisawesome for posting in HUISABH a while back. Strap is very comfortable and I think it looks awesome on the Speedy. ImageImage

That looks awesome! I thought about doing the same. Is the Mankey strap as awesome as all the people say? Looks rad either way.

Yes, it is. Honestly one of the most comfortable straps I own. It's like the PJs of watch straps. I highly recommend them. Pic for compliance. Image

Vintage Vostok Vednesday!
Double compliance with a vintage (late 90’s I think) hand winding Vostok Amphibia. I will probably be a little sad to see this one go, as it wears and runs great. I am pretty sure it is destined to be a gift though. I have an uncle who worked on subs on the tail end of the Cold War who recently became SCUBA certified. I think he might get a kick out of it.Image

Though, the case is on the small side and he is a really big guy, so this may be comically small on him.

Is it an automatic? Or hand wind only?

A family piece, commonly owned after the War Between the States:

Presumably this qualifies as "vintage".

"OK, Boomer."

This is awesome! And most definitely compliant! Really cool piece of not only family history, but just history in general. Thanks for sharing!

Also the blued hands are effing sweet!

This one is hand wind only, a 2409 movement. This makes the package slimmer and is quite nice on the wrist. I may try the movement and caseback in another case and see how it feels. This one I believe is a 410-type case

The other watch that came with this one has a date complication, so a 2419??? Anyway, extremely fun watches to play with for the price I paid and the condition they came in. I think this is my eBay deal of the year.

That's rad. Does it still have the anti magnetic shield behind the case back? If so, that is a crazy good find! No matter what, that is in great condition. I am guessing early 90's due to the lack of made in markings. Probably during the transitional period 90-92 ish.
