It's a Very Vintage Vednesday here with a 1920s era Bedford. The cost of the overhaul was much more than the watch is worth, but the case engraving and the dial texture made it worth preserving.

Actually not far off! I had too many last night to recommend that route, but my real suggestion is NO coffee, and 2 adult beverages. This was of course an isolated testing over months and months and using only one subject(myself) with varying degrees of sobriety. I call the no coffee/two beverage method the goldilocks method. And don't forget to have a 3rd beverage to celebrate your successful hand installation!
