Anyone here onto Panerai Homages/Sandwich case watches?

Post by AndroidIsAwesome »

I'm just curious to see what's out there currently, I know wus had a big thread on this in the past. AliExpress has a bunch of listings for different styles and sizes. I found a couple that are 40mm which sounds great because normal Panerai watches look massive imo. Normally I wouldn't buy a homage but I know I won't ever spend over $5k on a Panerai since they're kind of overpriced in my opinion.

What are you looking for specifically?
For pam-sized there's Getat (been around for years) or Geervo (aliexpress cheapie). TC-9 made brass 44mm, but it's sold out now.
For smaller sizes there is 43mm Maranez Layan in steel or brass, with multiple dials to choose from.
Next smaller is 42mm San Martin - I have the bronze one and it's very good, they also make it in steel and nh35 powered, very reasonably priced.
For 40mm radiomir homage, with wire lugs, there is (or will be introduced very soon) another San Martin, either quartz or automatic, steel or bronze.
And finally there are some panerai-inspired microbrand pieces like Geckota Vintage Diver, Benarus Moray or Spinnaker Hull.
