Re: What music are you listening to?
It's a little after 2am and I've been listening to a woman by the name of Morgan James for the past two hours. Her voice is amazing.
She did some work with a group called Post Modern JukeBox (I'll do deep dives on that group later). She is one of the best singers I've ever heard.
I could go on and on but I'll let you folks do your own searches for her music.
She has made some cover albums as well.

Whoa! Wasn't expecting that. Reggae and dancehall obsessive checking in. The big music news in my world is that Buju Banton just dropped his first album in years. I had the night off and I've been listening to that on Google Play Music. Any other favorites besides Alpha Blondy?

No favorites besides alpha blondy. Black Uhuru and third world stand out. Lots of more recent stuff has been on there in the past couple months, Stick Figure and Collie Buddz usually get me to check my phone to see what i am listening to. Edit: Buju banton radio for everybody in the kitchen tonight!!

Yes, her voice is incredible and she has strong dynamic range. Really like the genre, too. She is well-suited.

Just finished listening to Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band do their monthly-ish live performance on youtube. These folks make some super genuine, creative music. This is a good one to start with.

Re: What music are you listening to?
Been listening to Ray LaMontagne's new album Monovision. OMG it's so good. Probably one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. So measured, in so many ways. It's not easy to belt out a tune (nicely), but I think it also takes a lot of skills to sing the way he does.

Re: What music are you listening to?
Just got in this live album by Elbow today, "Live at The Ritz," an acoustic performance by the band.
Recorded in October 2019 in the intimate surroundings of The Ritz in Manchester, the album includes acoustic versions of tracks from ‘Giants of All Sizes’ alongside older favourites.
Only had a chance to hear a few songs, but sounds fantastic.
Then again, Elbow is one of my favorite live bands.
