It was 84 degrees and sunny yesterday. It's time for Beach/Shag Music. Myrtle Beach was my family's summer vacation destination. We would go and stay for two weeks every summer.

When I was growing up, my best friend's dad had written a couple of hit songs for The Tams.

At Walmart this morning the store was playing this over the P.A. Nothing like jamming to music in the morning while grocery shopping.

The family wanted dessert after dinner so I had to hit up the local burger joint for milkshakes and Sundaes. This was on the radio as I came back. Luckily there were no cops on the road as this song makes me drive faster and faster.

And then there was this one for us kids of the 80's. ;)
And yes, I had this album.

Searching the web for videos. I can't believe this song is 30 and a half years old. Christ I'm old.

Another from my High School days. The song is great but the video is just awful. In High School it wasn't a party until someone cranked up some AC/DC.

I'm partial to his song Girlfriend. I bought this CD when it debuted in 1991 and I still play it today all these years later.

Rick James Girl band, The Mary Jane Girls. This was on the radio as I drive my son to school. Brought back memories of High School parties.

Awesome tune.

What a throwback. I can't remember the last time I heard that.
