As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Chrome/Office 365 Warning

Post by AndyS »

I'm getting this warning coming to the site. Didn't see a better explanation. Maybe it's an SSL issue?

Opening this website might not be safe.

We recommend that you don't open this website, as opening it might not be safe and could harm your computer or result in malicious use of your personal data.

Thanks for setting it up, btw.

Sigh.

That's the activation link, and I'm sure it is SSL. I currently don't have that set-up on this domain. I can set the software to automatically activate all users, eliminating that e-mail.

Rest assured, there is nothing harmful here. Other than the chance of a lighter wallet from buying watches.

SSL certificate is now installed. Fingers crossed no more "warnings" come up.

Clear. Thanks! I'm sure it will help people that are less tech savvy feel comfortable.

You don't want to know how many times I've complained publicly and privately to Watchuseek about encrypting their login process. As far as I know it still isn't fixed years later and many posts of mine being shadow deleted.
