I was curious about the case hardened stainless steel because we have a lab at work that analyzes case hardened steel components.

I found Vesuviate watches that use a similar process. They have a case hardened watch with a Seiko GMT movement for $450.

Time Machine Plus had the blue one (transparent turquoise) for $60 during Black Friday. I kind of recall seeing the red one too for the same price. Looks like that model is not selling well. Maybe Casio has them in the wrong price bracket.

Same with me. In looking at their Facebook comments, that’s the biggest complaint with them. No communication, long delays to ship and some do and some don’t get tracking.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a deal, but this Red Star 24-HR watch looks pretty good to me. I ordered it from Julian Kampmann over at Poljot24. After subtracting VAT, adding shipping, and converting to $US, it cost $210. Julian is cool in that he expedites shipping. Takes about a week to arrive after ordering (from Munich to Houston).
