I have to say, the strap on the photo is aftermarket, this is important.
Well, we all know that they're no strict rules for 'Made in Germany' inscription. So, no surprise when I saw an older model Miyota 21 jewel movement through transparent case back.
What really surprised me was a bracelet with a strong magnet as a 'lock'.

Used my phone app to time the watch , it was running so fast that I couldn't even figure out exact number. Took the bracelet off, left the watch running overnight.
And - surprise, surprise - it was fast over 25 min in about 10 hours.

Didn't want to upset my better half, used demagnetizer. After 3 attempts the watch is running about 20 seconds per day fast.

My question: why some one in a right state of mind will even think of using a magnet on a mechanical watch strap?
I actually like it. I like the floating hands and the red second hand.

Anything my wife buys me I become sentimentally attached to. Wives are good peeps! LOL

Anyway, I bought a jump hour from that brand and donated it to a welding class at the tech school right down from my house. They had a welding contest to determine the winner. I recommended upside down welding beads. Not sure what they did, but they supposedly had fun.

Such a damn cool watch. I’m proud of Bulova for doing this.

I've had my eye on this one for years. I still don't know why I don't have it.

It was $202-$205 in a recent eBay deal post.

As with all Bulova and Citizen “refurbs” they appear to be new and just needing clearance.

Looks well built, and chunky, which is fine by me.

Yup, standby as I’m about to post a better way to buy it for under $300
