Good point. There's nothing that says you have to make a purchase with the gift card today, so this can definitely play out well for those who possess that rare virtue of patience (of which, admittedly, I'm not always that one!)!

I've never purchased a gift card from ToM; however, the offer for 15% does state "No Limit" (so, I suppose this technically means you could potentially purchase an infinite quantity of $5000 cards).

As for whether they expire? This is taken from NCSL.org...

ToM has an E serial (1990) GMT Master II model 16713 for $7,499, which is about the low end of current market value. Buy it with gift cards for 15% off, add in 5% CB from Ebates and use an Ebates credit card for another 3% CB (if you don't have this cc, get one!). That would bring the price down to $5,785 with shipping, and ToM allows returns on this item. It's a bit of a gamble though as ToM never gives enough photos on pre-owned watches!

You will have to wait for the card first before you can use it. From the GC purchase page:

Unfortunately no Touch of Modern cash back through Rakuten. Not sure about any of the other cash back sites. And they wonder why people get confused. It literally says cash back and no cash back on the same page. I'm glad I'm a Rakuten user overall but they can be a mess.
