Anyone an expert on stopwatches?
Anyone an expert on stopwatches?
My wife purchased a vintage stopwatch and we're trying to figure out what it is.
On the face it says Henri Robert Faul (or Faub or Taub) St. Honore. The dial looks like it is porcelain or enamel. The movement doesn't say anything (not a great sign) except Brevete SGDG (I think that just means patent???)
Any info greatly appreciated!

There's a fantastic knowledge base on this forum and I'm sure if no one can help you directly, there's sure to be someone who can point you in the right direction!
With that being said, any pictures you have that could expand on the description would help in your search. Good luck!

Found an interesting link thanks to the info and links from you guys. An interesting German newspaper article linking Henri Robert with the address on Rue du Faubourg St. Honore.

He shows up in this one quite a bit. French this time. If you click on the little scissor icon you can select text to translate. Pretty cool. Just copying the first page here. If you find out anything else even remotely interesting about the watch or Monsieur Hank Bob the watchmaker, please share. I like this stuff.
