Grab and go!

Post by Animal Mother »

You're late! You've just woken up, or you need to quickly pop out and meet a pal in the pub.

You chuck your jeans on, a t-shirt, hoodie, grab your phone, wallet, and watch.

Question is, which watch do you grab as you're flying out of the door (and why)?

Easy one for me. Even though I've got watches I love, including owning my grail, it's got to be this:

Citizen BM6400 Eco-drive on an ali-express MN style strap.
It's super accurate, always running, excellent lume, extremely comfortable, durable, great "waterproofness", not too valuable, very legible, and looks great (I've modded this by giving it a brushed look). Just a great grab and go watch for all occasions which will perform faultlessly, but you don't have to baby it.

Oh I love these grab and go categories of watches. For me it's either my Longines hydroconquest quartz, g shock, or marathon tsar.

I would say either my EMG DL63 or Spinnaker Bradner. Love the look of both but wouldn't freak out if either got a ding. ImageImage

My default's still the Airman.

I know, I'm boring. Still quite pleased with it though! And it seems appropriate enough for slumming it over a few pints.

Whatever I wore yesterday. This happens to me once in a while, and usually the previous days watch just gets set on my bureau instead of put away properly. I know it's running and set, so I am good to go!

⬆⬆⬆ Sometime this. Most often, my grab n go has been a Seiko 5 mod. It's automatic but there is no day or date to worry about and therefore am/pm is not an issue either. So setting it is quick and simple, which decreases the amount of time I steer with my knees while not looking at the road.....and thus making the world safer. More recently, I've also been grabbing and going with my Casio Royale World Time.
