Funny enough, I was at the gym as well when yinz posted it and showed it to my friend.

He ended up getting the samurai.

Plus 10% ($5.80) CB from RMN. Model 8929. Product page here. 40mm. Seiko NH35 movement. Second lowest all-time according to the Camels. Good for modding. Possibly not real gold....will reach out to Invicta. Link below.

Funny you post this, I just started searching for a gold watch to mod for my wife. Does anyone with experience know if you can remove the Invicta engraving on the case or if it would go through the plating?
Unfortunately you would go through the plating to the stainless steel. There is a possibly a cheaper option but I'm not certain of the seller reputation. The Invicta 8930 which is the same except blue is available on Newegg for only $42 but the seller, WristWatch, doesn't have the best ratings. LINK HERE. Might be worth looking through the reviews HERE. Also, if your wife isn't WIS, you can just tell her it's the equivalent of a Tudor or something and then she may not mind the engraving as much.

Awesome. I'm pretty sure when I initially posted the 779 was $180 w/ the code, same as the others. Now it's showing $169.99 w/ the code. I'll go back and edit. They appear to all still be available. Even with all the new iterations of Turtles, the 775 is probably still my favorite. I already have that one so I went for the Samurai.

I haven't been following these watches, so I'd like to ask the good folks here for some perspective: how good are these deals?

I can intuit that they are at least very good, but are they much more than that? Are they, say, "as-low-as-you'll-see-them-and-by-a-good-margin" good?

Trying to figure out whether I should be sitting up and paying serious attention here. Your perspective would be greatly appreciated!

They are uncommon prices for sure. Here is how I try to figure this stuff out. Anyone can do this, no magic involved. Lets just take one example: the SRP775.

Run a search on Google Shopping. Next lowest price shows $283.

Check current Amazon prices. A few listings. The lowest is $296.

Check historic Amazon prices. A few different entries but the lowest recorded is $229.

Check current eBay listings. Click the button for buy it now and check the box for new w/ tags. Lowest non-CWS price is $251.

Check eBay sold listings for the past 90 days. Click the Advanced button. Then select the Sold Listings box and make sure New is checked too. Lowest shown is $250 which is surprisingly on the higher side for this model. This is normally your second most important search.

One of the most overlooked searches is right here. If you're on Tapatalk, switch to the site. Come to this thread and go up to the search bar FOR THIS THREAD ONLY and type SRP775. You'll see it was going for $216 from BillyTheTree earlier this year.

Sometimes I also search 2018 prices at the old place but it's a pain. Also, I didn't include any store demos or refurbished or anything other than New w/ box and tags in the searches above.

i believe Eterna's problem is not over production, but the size. Imagine ho many more of us would have bought if it was 40mm instead of 45mm

The asymmetry looks nice but anybody has experience with these watches? And how is serviceability/support from or outside of Vulcain? I don't hear much about them except for the cricket model. Found a review from 5 years back on the blue dial. Of special interest is how the seconds are displayed. Reminds me of a barber's pole.Quite mesmerizing. You can watch it in the video below

Received my 96A219 today the watch was 100% new, not a mark on the watch!

Perfect size for my 7" wrist, now I want to see if the Precisionist or Accutron ii movements will fit or some type of mechanical movement and the watch would be perfect.

Killer deal!

I'm in for one. It seems like a nice watch for $85 and 38mm works well on my 6.5" wrist. The photos don't do it justice; it looks much better on a wrist!

EDIT: There's a small ding on the case between the 8 and 9. Otherwise, watch is very nice:Image

No experience but I'm just adding links. For me, the thought of a getting a modified Valjoux 7753 for $1300 seems fine/normal I guess. But the thought of getting a Vulcain for $1300 seems ridiculously good.

Gorgeous watch - wish I could pull off a 44.6
Just want to add TCB has 3.5% off, so that saves about another $45.

Trying real hard not to “buy the deal....”

I have the Alpina Alpiner 4 and at 44mm it's big on my 7" wrist but I have found to love the dial and size has become secondary. I am so tempted at getting this one. Such torture :D

Never saw this model before, and generally considered Vulcain to be pretty high priced brand.
This watch has Vulcain version of Valjoux 7753, I like the layout a lot. A few colors available.

....And McLoving, pgcity, and yinz beat me with posting. :o
